  • Absorbent Glass Matt (AGM) separator construction
  • Acid gel contained in AGM giving non spillable, maintenance free construction
  • Leak proof
  • Can be used in any position
  • No need for forced venting
  • Advanced gas recombination gives low gassing and no need to add water
  • Low self discharge to ensure long storage life
  • Excellent recovery from deep discharge
  • More than 1000 charge/discharge cycles (depending on depth of discharge)
  • Low self discharge rate typically less than 3% per month @ 25˚C
  • Up to 5 years float service
  • Low pressure relief valve opens for gassing and seals to prevent oxygen ingress
  • UL approved
  • Available in UL 94 VO flame retardant case
  • Suplied with fitted terminal cover to insulate and protect in transit

Storage of Eleckson Batteries
Batteries must be stored in a charged condition. Minimum cell voltage in storage (self discharge) 2.00 volt/cell. Batteries in storage must have top-up charge at specified intervals. Store away from heat sources and direct sunlight.

Discharge characteristics of Eleckson Batteries

The discharge curves shown may be used as a guide for battery selection. Individual curves for each type of battery are available on request.

The effect of temperature on capacity is shown in the graph. A battery’s capacity is nominally rated at 25˚C but will rapidly reduce below this temperature.

Charging

Constant Voltage charging is recommended for valve regulated lead acid batteries under the following conditions:

  • Float charge: 2.25 – 2.30 volts/cell at 25˚C

  • Cycle charge: 2.40 – 2.45 volts/cell at 25˚C

  • Initial current should not exceed 0.2˚C

  • Gassing will only occur when the cell voltage exceeds 2.35

  • volt/cell (90% of recharge).
